Off camera flash

Anyone using light stand, umbrella stand adapter and umbrella for their off camera flash? Thinking of setting one up and would appreciate if someone could advise me on this and the estimated cost.

check under MO section for PQ23. all in all, shldn't come up to more than $100. but how do u intend to trigger ur flash? radio trigger, or IR trigger? or off-shoe cord...

I'll be using indoor for the moment, so IR triggering should be ok (I hope) with 580EX on my camera and 430EX as slave.
