Default Dog Portraits from SKC Nov 07

I did a x-mas themed photo booth to help raise funds for Noah's Ark(www.noahsarkcares.com) this year and am happy to say we had a good response from the crowd that day. The combined sales from the photos and merchandise was in excess of 1k! Thanks to all who came down to support and to jason aka rockscar18 for the last minute light rental arrangements. Here are some of the dogs who obliged to stand in front of my lens that day.

2...3.4...7 chihuahuas. all pretty well trained if you ask me. This was an outtake that I kept.

Cherie and Rinna

Chloe

Da Tou - wasn't too happy about having his pic taken...

more to come..

nice, but noticed that most of the dogs aren't looking at the camera. perhaps if u can try getting their attention would be much better.

haha...
i am sure he would love to get the attention of the dogs if possible..
but i reckon it is really tough during a show..
esp, when the posing dogs are distracted by other dogs and noises..
and the photographer probably cant spend more than a couple of minutes to dress up, and pose per dog..as the queue will be super long by then..

it is definitely much more easier to get attention when taking our own pets at home, or the lone cat or dog on the street, as there are less distractions.

i can imagine the difficulties..

Yea I agree that eye contact is important sometimes but there are times when it looks better without. I guess a few of the photos could be better with eye contact

Yes it was quite stressful cause need to be fast. Also some dogs keep running off or refuse to look at the owner. One of the fastest ones was the 7 chihuahuas cuase all so well trained hehe. It was tiring but fullfilling and quite fun

Thanks once again for the support.

well done bro! on helping raise funds as well as the doggie pictures.

But the background abit too shiny and reflective. Maybe next time get a better backdrop with less reflection?

Yeah - man => I hated that cr*p lighting inside the Expo. Not too sure, why they ended up in having this event at that place..

Apologies for straying off-topic in that I won't comment on the photographic aspects. But these pictures effectively promote giving puppies or adult dogs as christmas presents - a big, big, big no-no.

Getting a pet is a serious decision and requires commitment on the part of the owner-to-be - presents are definitely out. A lot of such "presents" end up abandoned sooner or later every year.

Does Noah's Ark agree on you using their logo on these photos? What the photos promote is pretty much the antithesis of what animal rescue organisations are trying to hammer into the general public's brains ...
