That's a crab. Not a crap!!

Anyway, still a great catch! For both you and the kingfisher!

Choo, this one from your playground? I missed it last breeding season. If its still there, I will be making a trip there soon. (er, is it safe to go in there alone?)

For a start visit Symphony lake. currently have 2 species there, the Common King fisher (tiny one) and the biggest of all Kingfisher, the strok billed Kingfisher.

Shooting birds needs patience, sometimes we waits for days, weeks and even years to get one. others are lucky and got it within minutes. Birds dont like sudden movements and noise so you have to move slowly and silently.

Sorry for OT here Choo.

Where is symphony lake? Yeah i agree, you need patience in shooting birds. or in fact animals in general.

Den just hop to the nearby Pungol park. lots of birds there if you know how to spot them. Resident there are sundra wood peckers, sunbirds, flowerpeckers and visiting common kingfisher. Not easy to locate them so SBG will be easier.

I have heard KF cries in near Plaza Singapura actually. No visual ID cos its night time. KF have a variety of habitats some have taken to eating insects so they can be found in 'forests' which means parks here in sg. haha.
