Let's get ready to GUESS GUESS GUESS!

    Correct Score Prediction = 3points!

    Correct 1st Scorer for LFC = 1point!

Correct Last Scorer for LFC = 1point!

Hat-Trick Hero Perfect Guess Guess Guess! = 5points!

so in any game, the max point a participant can net is a total of 10points.

    Sorting Out the Grey Areas.

1). in the event of 1-0 end result, the 1st scorer will be taken as the last scorer even though the participant might haf anticipated 2-0 or 22-0 and haf listed someone else as the last scorer.

2). the prediction is good till the Final Whistle, which includes Extra-time but not Penalty Shootout.

    Current standings:

rafa signed Carson for less than 1m pounds. he'll be offloading him for 10m pounds in january.

    tas good biz.

rafa signed crouch for around 7m pounds and will be selling him for 10m pounds in january.

    tat is good. hahaha

now the board seems unlikely to support him with more money for his january shopping!

here are a couple of suggestions for RAFA.

1). sell Dirty Kite for 6m pounds(we signed him for 10 but which nutcase will want this rubbish for 10?). likely destination West Ham, Portsmouth or Blackburn.

2). MUX sell See-so-sicko for FOC oso mux release. he'll be a curse to any team that signed him. this would free up some 5m pounds.

    so, we will haf 10 + 10 + 6 + 5 = 31m pounds!

we'll spend 17m pounds on securing mascherano.

so that will leave us with 14m pounds!

let's sign a good young centerback(5m pounds) and a really decent striker(9m pounds!)... please!!!

so, we actually dun haf much $$.

so much for the new owners.

BENITEZ CHUCKS HIS TOYS OUT OF HIS PRAM

BENITEZ CHUCKS HIS TOYS OUT OF HIS PRAM

In a remarkable show of pique on a bizarre day at Anfield, Rafa Benitez reacted to a stormy conversation with Liverpool's new owners by interrupting his weekly press conference to declare he would be interested in succeeding Steve McClaren as England manager.

Having apparently been rebuffed in his request for substantial sums to be made available for the January transfer window, Benitez was 35 minutes late for his appearance in front of the press. When he finally showed, The Guardian claims that he was still 'visibly shaken' from his earlier talks with George Gillett and Tom Hicks.

According to The Daily Mail, a 'frustrated' Benitez is 'ready to tell Gillett and Hicks to dig deep or consider whether they should start looking for a new manager.'

'Liverpool's co-owners will sit down with Benitez when they visit Anfield for the December 16 showdown with Manchester United and it promises to be as fiery off the pitch as on it after the manager made little secret yesterday of the rift that has developed in recent weeks.'

On Thursday, Benitez crassly used the vacancy at Soho Square to turn up the heat on his bosses by claiming he would be interested in becoming England manager.

"Maybe I could be [McClaren's replacement] if I improve my English," he announced.

Later, apparently piqued at the guffawing his declaration had produced, Benitez darkly told reporters: "I was being serious. You never know what can happen in the future."

Otherwise, the Spaniard was in reticent mood, refusing to give any indication of his commitment to Liverpool. In various interviews for television, radio and the written press, The Guardian calculates that he used the phrase "I am focused on training and coaching my team" a total of 15 times.

Hours later, speculation that a rift had grown between Benitez and the club's owners was heightened by Gillet and Hicks sanctioning the publication of a statement endorsing their own spending record.

"We made a significant investment in the playing squad during the summer and desperately want this team to succeed," it read. "There are some very important games coming up in the next couple of weeks and all of us need to focus on winning those games and getting the best out of the players we already have at the club. We will leave any talk of buying or selling players until we come across to Liverpool in December and sit down with the manager then."

SHEARER REFUSES TO RULE HIMSELF OUT

SHEARER REFUSES TO RULE HIMSELF OUT

Alan Shearer has refused to rule himself out of the running to be Steve McClaren's replacement as England manager.

The former Newcastle and England striker has emerged as a leading contender to take over the national team despite having no managerial experience whatsoever and a lack of charisma that is evident on television screens every Saturday night.

While admitting to The Sun that he was as "surprised as anyone to see my name up there", Shearer refused to deny that he would consider an invitation to succeed McClaren.

"I think there are many more candidates above me with a lot more experience than I have. I've taken my coaching badges and my A and B licences and management does interest me at some stage.

"But when that is don't know. Right now I'm happy with what I am doing as a pundit for the BBC."

Shearer's own blueprint for revolutionising English football is, typically, enlightening stuff.

"I believe there are some very good players in that England squad," he confirmed. "It is just about getting the best out of them."

No doubt it is this level of insight which, in the words of the Daily Telegraph, has earned Shearer 'influential admirers both within the FA's headquarters at Soho Square and the England dressing room'. Frighteningly, the newspaper, oblivious to reports that O'Neill is ready to reject any advances from Soho Square, reports that Shearer is currently second-choice at the FA behind the Ulsterman.
