Default Sigma OS HSM for Canon?

why does sigma have no OS and HSM at the same time for canon?
lets say, 18-200 OS HSM and alike...

They used a micro-HSM in the Nikon version so that people would know it works with D40/D40x. Doesn't make much a difference in performance though.

Because it's not true HSM, so it's almost like the micromotor in the 18-200 OS for canon.

All Canon lenses have motor inside the lens, while all non-AFS/non-HSM lenses on Nikon need to be "screwed at the back" Sigma made it HSM so that people can easily know it works with D40/D40x. Performance-wise should be similar.

you mean, the hsm on nikon mount is just to say that it works well on D40/x?

Correction: ...that it's able to perform AF on the D40/40x.
