Anyone tried buying powershot range from Japan before?

Japan models come out faster. Think now got 12.1 Ixus liao. They call it Ixy there.

Japanese warranty though, but who's camera break down in a year?!

probably want to check out the cost after accounting for exchange rates. Yen has appreciated quite a bit over the past week!

Are you looking at the Ixus range or powershot? Generally most of the compact cameras are cheaper in Japan.

A friend who worked in a japanese firm b4 told me that Japanese electronic goods made for their own market are usually better as they tend to ensure all components used are of better quality...don't know how true...

if we buy digicams in japan, does that mean that the menu is in japanese? or do they have multi-language text supports as well??
