    I don't see a real need for a grip shooting sports indoors. It just adds unnecessary weight and having lower light exposures, I need to be able to hand hold every shot carefully. I carry enough batteries for a 14 hour day and haven't had a problem.

    I guess if you have a tripod and you're shooting portraits in a studio, there are advantages but then you should be able to just use a power supply and plug it into the wall.

    Works best with telephoto lens and better handling for big hands.
