Hi Guys,
It's good to be back to the warm weather of Sg. It was freezing cold in Yunnan, especially in Shangri-La. Did not get the sun often there, so hope to have some good enough snapshots to share with you guys. Will need some time to run thru' the pics. Here's one to share for starters, view from a lake in Dali. ![]() |

Boss, welcome back.
Nice photo. Can dodge a bit of pavilion/temple to show more detail? |

Thanks Guys, please be patient with me while I go thru' all the pics shot. Seems like not many as the weather there was gloomy with the sun hiding most of the time. But I'll try to share as many as possible. I'll also share some color ones in the Landscape, Travel sub-forums.
Really, it's nice to be back to this weather in Sg as I'm not used to cold. Now I'm wondering if I can make it to Nepal/Tibet, think it's much colder there and the oxygen level is much lower. Sure can, will try to bring up shadows in future pics. |

Any IR shot taken in the Lijiang Ancient City (丽江古城)? Can't wait to see this ancient city in IR...Got snow already or not? |

Was in Lijiang for a couple of days, may have a few shots of the Ancient City. Too bad no snow yet, but freaking cold man.

Lijiang and Shangri-La is really beautiful. Plenty of landscape, ancient villages and the lifestyles of the people. Really worth a second visit, but I won't go in winter. For those who are planning:- Warmest period to go will be May/June for those who cannot take cold. But then oxygen level up there is still thin. Low oxygen level can cause, nausea, vomiting, "lau sai", bad headaches, etc. People with Asthma should take special care. |

If doctor says NO, better not to go, there were cases where people went against doctor's advice, could not come back alive! |

Ever tried taking a photo in winter where light source is not good (so, need steady hands to hold camera for slow shutter speed), temperature is low (minus-10-degree C and below) ? ![]() It's really an experience... ![]() |
