Manga Coloring! (HunterxHunter)

Yo dudes,

Been a long time. Currently experimenting with digital coloring! Turned out to be a heck of a hard work. Jus started reading up online on it last night, and here I am, trying it out! It's really fun. Here's what I got so far..

Is anyone else here trained in this? I'm still learning... But it's really fun! But the self taught way is really tough! haha.

Just for the fun of it... will be posting my progress regularly here.

Anyone else wants to try? Will provide links where I got the tutorials.

A reminder is that you need to be very comfortable with Photoshop(7 or above) to be able to do their steps, I took quite a while to decipher what the authors were referring to.

Overall, a good learning experience!

Thanks could be better... "Grew up" looking at DynamicDragon works from NarutoFan. Finally start to learn to do myself now, am glad.

haha, you guys make me stress. This is my first time doing this you know... just read the basic coloring techniques only. Can't wait to try out other stuff in DA. (I got one paper tmr though, pretty screwed now, haha, nv study)

Anyway, update no. 3:

Welcome to give critques ya, if you dont like the color. Or if you want to suggest colors for the other characters you see, I might just decide to use it I guess...

Nope. No tablet being used.

Painting this using a Dell Inspiron 6000. It has a Centrino 1.5ghz processor and 2GB ram which I fitted about 7months back.

u mean... u're not painting with an external tablet connected via USB? OMG! painting purely with mouse?!

Jut my 2 cts, perhaps you shd ist decide where the light source is coming from so then you'll know how does the shadow falls, seeing that no shadows are painted yet.

Very nice, except I always imagine that boots in black instead of green... because I only read the black and white manga, not the anime.

OT a bit, I like HunterxHunter series(the manga version), but is the artist
Yoshihiro Togashi stop working on it for a while? cause I didn't see new chapter
coming out for a long time.
