EN-EL3e - $80 from TKfoto

Do a search for tripods, many threads on it.
Recommended : Manfrotto / Feisol
if u have $$ : Gitzo

TKfoto has a good range, u can go down to check it out.

I'm sure the $80 is for Nikon original battery. Some other shops sell for $90. I'd recommend getting original for things like battery.

There are two threads for price guide in "Nikon sub-forum", very useful and lists pretty much everything.

For the tripod, better get one with Ball-head, probably around $120 for a good decent one.
As mentioned, Manfrotto, Feisol, and also Benro all good.

From CP, $78 for original Nikon battery, and $42 for 3rd party.

$120 is only enough to get a decent ball head only, not the tripod.

I got my 2nd D80 battery from eastgear for only $30+. Works wonders, it has almost twice the capacity of the original based on my usage experience...so far so good, no problems!

Hi, you mean the third party battery last twice as long as the original one?

In my own experience, its almost twice. Maybe 70 percent more? This is based on my shot counts. I've tried 600 shots with dat battery on my D80 + 70-200VR, with VR on ok... The battery lasted from 100% to 60%...no kidding.

Highly recommended for beginners and serious amateurs, the SLIK 340DX is a good tripod that is both lightweight, strong and compact.

It is available at Cathay Photo store.
