    Talking Matt or Glossy Photos?

    Hi guys,

    Do you guys prefer Matt or Glossy photos?

    Reason being?(Optional)

    Glossy, Brings out colours better.

    Normally when I shoot weddings, I give my customers in matt print.

    depends on what you want the prints for.
    if it is to store in albums with a transparent film over it, develop matt.
    if it's for pinning up in your office/home walls, gloss.

    yah i prefer lustre too...but no shops do those anymore right? I mean for normal 4R printing.

    Yeah luster is nice, I've got a big roll of it for printing

    have you guys tried metallic lamination? looks cool. it adds a metallic feel to the picture and colors are punchy.

    Me too, cos it won't stick on to the plastic sheet in the album.

    Glossy ones, however, their colours are nicer, but that's the trade-off I think.

    I dont really ever print 4R, so I hadnt noticed!

    The metallic prints are fantastic for landscapes, for portraits its not that great.

    glossy, more contrast and sharp...

    Beautiful Memories is using lustre. The quality is good, but not cheap.

    oh thanks!

    but they do 4R, 8R? might not be profitable for them, is small amount. Hence i wonder if they do only bigger sizes...
