subway OFFER here is 2 pounds for a 6 incher.. that's 6 dollars
old buildings with paint.. that sounds more like here in london than singapore, hey

ok the plants CONFIRM grown by human.. pollution would pawn any natural ones
and i am getting bruised shoulders from the crowd at holborn station everyday on the way to school

are you sure you're in singapore, and not in london?

i suppose this will provoke some funny responses from random people regarding my "hatred" for britain/london and how i want to spread negative propaganda etc etc.. if you do not see this as a tongue-in-cheek comment coming from someone who's been on the "grass in greener" mentality and is seeing first-hand what it's like.. please ignore the joke, because it is a joke

This is funny. When I was working oversea in Europe for a few years, some of my fellow Singaporean colleagues was complaining life was boring there, and how they miss the food, the night life & the shopping back in Singapore. Even when we had long off days, they were reluctant to travel long distances to visit other areas.

While I did enjoy life oversea, where pace was slower, there was certain convenience that only Singapore can give and there is definitely a lot of things you can do if you really look around.

Play depends on your liking, and your needs to try out new stuff.

there are so many things to do

    1. shopping
    2. golf
    3. wake boarding
    4. cable boarding
    5. in line skate
    6. cycling
    7. paint ball
    8. arcade
    9. fishing
    10. camping
    11. trekking
    12. nature walk
    13. jogging
    14. gym hopping
    15. rock climbing
    16. kick boxing
    17. boxing
    18. swimming
    19. karate
    20. tekowando
    21. taiji
    22. aikedo
    23. reading for free at boarders
    24. beach volleyball
    25. scuba diving
    26. reef walks
    27. hockey
    28. softball
    29. soccer
    30. pub hopping
    31. disco hopping
    32. night safari
    and the list goes on.

if you cannot find anything to play means you're just too lazy to go try it out.
or you need to go out and have more friends

overseas you drive long distances to do these things... here max you'll need 45mins to drive to the next destination to play something new.

i spent 10 yrs in sg, but never really found it boring.

some of the things i did...

    - hopped on a bus, ANY bus, didn't care where it went, you couldn't get lost in sg no matter how hard you tried, found many interesting places that way.

    - rode my bike everywhere on the weekends, rain or shine. the bukit timah track, the old clementi boys brigade trail, sentosa, east coast, etc. i specially liked pitting my skills with the traffic along orchard road. (that's a no-no, but i was stupid then.)

    - rollerblade the entire length of the east coast track, from the chalets at tanamerah to the other end. was it mountbatten rd?

    - ate anything and everything, anywhere and everywhere. i still miss the food!

    - spoke with trishaw drivers, taxi drivers, bus drivers, etc. i remember one taxi driver (indian chap) who told me his was an arranged marriage. never seen his bride to be until the day itself. he said he didn't know what to expect, but once he saw his bride's waist, that was it, he was in love! They've been happily married for for 30 odd years. hahaha, this is better than gold.

there's lots of things to do, you just have to open your eyes, use your ears, walk and talk.

Things damn ex? Public transportation ex? I guess you must come from a less developed country then. Because if you came from UK or other western country, you'd go "cheep cheep".

well some might call it boring, but there Is quite alot of things to do in SG, or wherever you are actually.

i dont think there is one person who has actually finished say even 20% of books in one genre? till this day(not old yet lah, in fact still young) i find a book a better way to burn time than amusements.its quiet, enriches your body, doesnt talk back and wont burn a hole in your pocket!

if you are looking at something immediate, food hunting, photography(try a new type?) or just visit a new place, unless you visited everywhere from parway parade to causeway point, to west mall!

if all else fails, go home and sleep
