Any diff between AP sim Lim and Ap Funan ?

Hi all .. just wanted to noe .. if there is any diff between the services by AP funan and sim lim .. cos i called to enquire abt a cam, earlier on .. SL no stock but Funan still have .. at first he say got one .. den say got two .. i only patronise AP SL before but not the Funan one so dunno if they r trustworthy or not .. pls advise

As long as you've done your homework, know the price, check the items before you pay ... it should be okay

Depending who serves you, Funan is more pleasant to shop with less crowd, I bought my D70 there from Peter Tan, very friendly guy and let me try the camera and bargain until I tired But the second time I went back for other stuffs, they only have one skinny guy and he is not so friendly.

Sim Lim outlet is a little strange and depending on luck....you need to utilize your personal charm there and bargain hard and they are more willing to slash price...maybe also because of more crowd and their patiance run out

What promo? I think promo only work for standard price store like Courts and Harvey Norman......you will be surprise that how much cheaper store like AP etc can offer....you will sure to get cheaper if not better deal Also check if some of the freebies are awarded by the manufacturer for example free CF card by Canon or Nikon that you can only redeem at their office

I wnet to AP website .. the cam i wanna buy is at $229 with a 2gb card .. i noe alr very cheap la .. but it will be gd if i can get it even cheaper .. student ... tight budget .. Thanks alot for all ur advise !

I don't patronise either Alan Photo outlets as they have come across to me as dodgy.

And I don't see what this has to do with Canon.

everyone has different opinions on AP. some good, some bad. for me it wasn't pleasant (funan AP), but i still got what i wanted. so it really depends on luck.

Haha....i'm a frequent patron of AP Funan and u can trust them. I fact, they're all very nice pple.

Peter is now serving at SIM LIM. Yes, his offers are competitive.

AP SL I only deal with a couple of the guys there - the rest .....

Overall prefer CP, J3:16, TK or MS

Never like AP...the got big parang..... Always see their customers as carrot. I did act stupid once to see how they want to cheat me....and they really go all the way! Want to sell me EF300 F4L IS for $3K!!!!

yah, today I act stupid and asked abt Canon Speedlite 430EX and one young chap quoted me $513 !

In the end I bought at OP for $415 all in...

I had several bad experiences with AP Funan and AP SLS...won't waste my time with them again...

Asked some woman at AP Funan about a 52mm Hoya R72... she quoted me $60 and gave me a damn xia lan look. Later I got it for 40+ at CP.

Basket. Never again will I go there...
