film scanner settings

hi guys!
i've got an Epson 4490photo scanner. i would like to know what are optimal settings i can use to scan film? for color negs/slides and B&W film..

my choice:
1) blow away any dust on the film or glass
(if still have dust, use Digital ICE quality mode)
2) Resolution - 4800dpi
(scan one time at the best optical resolution so no need to rescan if u wan to print bigger in future )
3)USM - on ( off if u can/want to do it in PS)
