Default Sigma 70-200 EX Canon Mount shaky

Hi,

Would like to check with others who are using this lens... is the lens mount a bit shaky on your camera? or is it just because the lens is heavy?

When holding the camera body, I can feel it moving a bit... not too sure whether it's the lens element that's moving inside, or something else? Or is it just normal that there's some allowance for lenses to move.. tried it with two lens of the same model... both the same...

Thanks

I'm on a 10D..

Anyway, it's not that shakey... just a bit of play when you use your hand to try and turn the lens after you mount it...

same with my 50mm and 24-85... but on the 70-200 it's more noticeable.. because it's heavier...

on your bodies, is it very rigid... no shakes no nothing? totally fixed? not even the slightest movement on your lens?

hi,

My canon 24-85 also has a bit of play...

Was looking through the web just now, and found the answer. Apparently, a bit of play in the lens mount is normal.. if it's too tight, it's probably the exception.. not too sure how true it is.. but anyway, I probably won't delve too much into it..
