400D/XTi Refurbished.

Hie guys, i am currently looking at the 400D/Xti Rebel Refurbished at http://www.adorama.com Just the body alone costing USD$ 519. The refubishment is actually done by Canon U.S.A warranty and its covered for 90 days by adorama.com

Is this purchase recommended or should i not pick a refurbished model?? What are the setbacks? It is around USD$70 cheaper for this refurbished product.

Please advice. Thanks

i would just pick one used one up at bns..

cause @ US$519 + shipping + GST, the total would be close to US$600 ~ S$900; which is then only a tad cheaper than the used sets at bns.

plus, you won't get to use the warranty cause its in the US.

unless of course you are currently in the US la.

where is bns? i am currently in Dubai that is the major problem..camera & equip here is expensive..they have rip off prices not like back in msia and sg. Thats why my only option now is to purchase online.

man..just arrived in Dubai a month ago and wont be back for maybe 11 months.. regret kao kao not buying when back in msia n sg!!

hmm. then i think you would really wanna consider getting it shipped. don't really understand what refurbished means though. they take a old set, clean it up and sell it to you cheaper?

it's probably their sets which was returned during the 30 day money back scheme.

alot of these retailers practice this, and hence, the refurb sets.

If i remember correctly, the prices at the airport duty free is rather cheap! can go there to take a look if u happen to fly.
