Considering that the GX100 is that good, this could possibly be better due to the fixed focal length. I am just wondering how the lack of image stabiliser and phase detection auto focusing will affect the camera.

being a former GX100 user, and tested the GR Digital II yesterday at imaging expo.

i would say its a much better camera!!

the image quality seems better and shorten lag time.

they have the GR Digital, GR Digital II and GX100 there at the Ricoh booth.

do check it out.

impressed by the GR Digital II.

changed my mind to maybe getting one when its launched as a second camera.

my GX100 already sold.

they didn't have the 40mm lens attachment there.

i couldn't comment much about it with the original GR-D, as i was not a GR-D user.

but i would say its better than GX100.

i tried the GR-D 2 vs my GX100 at the show today.

flash is better. no blow up flash for macros. the ISO performance is slightly better, with the GR-D 2 showing very fine grain structure at ISO 400. (i'm pretty sure it's something to do with software. the GX100 and the GR-D 2 uses the same 10mp, 1/1.75" sensor!)

but however, the distortion is still pretty bad as compared to the GX100.

gosh... how come i missed to try the GRD II.
Can anyone confirm that on GRD II, you can still shot immediately the next RAW, while the previous is still in writing? I believe this is one of important improvement.
