Your skills are already there. Your pics are mostly sharp and well-captured.

You can try lots of things such as varying the angles and capture from far or near. You will also see more sweet sides of these models if you catch their expressions while they are chatting with each other or laughing.

Next time try to shoot the models not looking at you. Shoot them from some unknown corners. You will find you get better shots. You just have to wait for the moment where they are most natural or the most beautiful and snap. ^_^

for portraits, i can accept such softness. Faces can look abit soft is fine with me. =)

Maybe its just me, but since you were using flash, if the DOF was shallower or the background was darker, it would be less distracting as the brightly coloured background seems to draw attention away from the subject ?
