    Guy,

While holding down your Shift, click a Stacks icon on your Dock. See the slow motion effect

Same for minimising any screen, pressing "shift" slows the motion down

that "virus" is actually a trojan. viruses spread by themselves and i have yet to hear of one for mac os x. trojans on the other hand depend on your surfing habits

It's still not a virus. I don't understand why they can't distinguish the difference.

It does not travel on its own. You must help it, so it's a trojan and it's not the first trojan. There was another trojan that used iChat to send itself to other people, but you had to enter your administrator password for it to be gain access to your system. It was virus-like but still not a virus.

We IT people all know the different lah. I just copy and paste from the website try not to modify the actual content

Anyway , don't think virus can infect Mac OS as administrator password is needed whenever system level task is carry out.

Trojans is a better term to be use in Mac environment.

but you din clarify that it was not a virus in your post

i wont say virus cant infect os x....just a bit harder to. but all it takes is for a loophole with root privileges for a virus or worm to create havoc. so far so good. *touch wood*

That's why we're not created as Root Users on the Mac OS, everything is done via sudo, which is much safer.

Before anybody bashes Mac for not being the purrfect OS that's widely acclaimed to be virus free, a system is only as secure as the person who's using it.

You want super secure, plug out the cables, super glue the ports and change the systems' password to something you don't even know, same goes for windoze and any other OS.

Damn it, the Time Machine is not working very well for me, and I don;t know what's the cause of it.

Sometimes, the backup disk cannot mount, but this is the smaller of the problem, cos if I just unplug the cables and re-plug it in, it always mounts.

The bigger problem is, there's this folder where I frequently need backup on, and it is the folder containing all the movies I purchase from iTunes or converted from my DVD collection. The entire folder goes missing! I back it up again, and it was there for a couple of days, and today, it goes missing again!

    Anyone knows the problem?

Very sian, all my folder icons have been reset to the original OS X Leopard icons, only my MP3 and my Disk icons remains the same. Worse is Candy Bar doesn't work on 10.5 yet! ARGHH

Spaces and 'Spacebar Preview' rocks though.

I heard that there is something called "drive-by download", even if we didn't download something, the bad program can be transmitted to our comp.
