Hi,

What camera are you using? The WB don't seems right. How did you set your WB?

i'm using FZ18

no matter how i adjust the screen seems reddish.. so i just keep it as it is and shoot then use ps to do some adjustment. my ps skill is also so so only...

i compared my pic and the rest of the pic posted here it seems a big difference... very demoralising...

You may want to check your camera to see if you can set custom white balance.

I believe you should be able to do so, since the FZ18 should be the FZ10/FZ20/FZ30 series of family.

Try putting on your IR filter and do a custom white balance, then try again.

No need to be demoralized, just need to try again to see if you can make it work.

hi,

there is custom WB feature.

when i adjust the WB, i have the IR lens on. do you mind if you could guide me a little?

in the WB adjustment screen, it looks something like this but where should i adjust the dot to? it seems to be the same(reddish) no matter how i adjust..

Not sure how you did it, but you can try to switch to custom WB, then point at a patch of green grass (under bright sunlight) and set it (meaning, take a snap of it to set).

Give it a try, and see if it help.

I tried something similar on a Canon Powershot S3 IS recently. It works except that the IR photo taken turns out to be very noisy, still try to see if I have time to further test it in reducing the noise level.

This is another try to PP on your original file, with different hue/saturation setting on red channel, makes it a little more "golden color" feel:

setting the WB is a important steps....this will also save you lots of trouble in PP.

Just keep on trying, you will get it soon. everyone of us started out the same way too.
