Was just wondering since there are so many series/models of Canon cameras (A-class like A60/A70, Ixus V3/400, S-series like S45/S50 and even the G-series listed on the Canon website as Budget, Style, Performace and Prosumer respectively) which all uses the same technology - DIGIC imaging processing, the quality of the pictures (user-dependant of coz!) should be the same for all isn't it? Using an A70 and S50 (forget about the megapixel stuff), one should be able to produce similar if not same quality right?
At the end of the day, it seems that it boils down to basically design, size, type of batt/CF used, possible add-ons and price of coz for selection. As an S50 owner, sometimes I wonder if its just a hype-up to get the 'Performance' series (like S50) when I can settle for the 'Bugdet' A70 at half the price and with same quality. What do you think? ![]() Last edited by Spikey; 3rd May 2003 at 10:43 AM. |

Thats true ... but if just point and shoot do u think for S50, IXUS 400, A70 and G3 if all set to 3.2mp would give the same picture quality?
