    Default VAT question

Does anyone know how to get VAT Identification Number in order to buy something from Netherland without been charged? I was told by the site that I had to produce the ID number so that Dutch Custom will allow the stuff to go through. (Payment will be made via Paypal)

I remembered clearly that I didn't pay any VAT when I bought some stuff from UK.

Can anyone actually guide me to this?

You should ask the seller to give you that number I believe. If they are registered for paying VAT, then they will get a number.....it is called a 'BTW nummer'

VAT (BTW) is not due when the item is for export.

You are an overseas buyer and therefore have nothing to do with the dutch VAT system. You do not have to provide any number to the seller.

The seller has only to proove to his dutch VAT authority that he sold the item overseas and that the item has been sent overseas.

I repeat, you should not pay the VAT !

The only tax you may have to pay is when the goods are arriving in Singapore. GST may be imposed if the value if above 400 USD, if I am not wrong.
Even if I do not agree with you, I will always fight for you to have your say.

This is the procedure for him not to pay VAT. It is in his own dutch language. Exctracted from the Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands.

This guy is trying to get more money out of you ! Dun let him !

Refer him to that website, his jaw should drop.

    Good luck my friend.

    Interne vervoersbescheiden (rittenboekjes)
Even if I do not agree with you, I will always fight for you to have your say.
