Hi guys,
I find that the original neck strap for my SLR and DSLR is not comfortable. Keen to know what is your favourite neck strap and where to get it, if cost is not an issue.... ![]() |

using an Optech neckstrap, distributes the weight better than the stock neckstrap.
IIRC cost around $30 |

Agreed. Get a optech strap. It is much more comfortable than the original strap.

Optech... excellent strap distributes the camera weight very well. Cathay Photo sells them. Not sure where else. Cost about $29 or so.

Got mine for around that price at John 3:16. I can't remember the exact price. The cool thing about this product is it allows you to remove the neckstrap portion and you can buckle the two ends together and use it as a shorter hand-strap.
I don't know if you understand what I'm saying, but I'm sure existing users do. Haha. |

I have it, and occasionally will worry when I carry it. Other than that, it's great. Very comfortable. |

has never given way before, with a 70-200 f/2.8 IS mounted on a 30D, with a 580EX Speedlite. Also has been used with the Sigma 100-300 f/4, a 30D, and a 580EX.

The good thing about the buckles is after using the strap and putting sweat all over it, you can remove the wet strap before putting your cam into the dry box.. very important to avoid fungus. Note that there some fake Op/Tech straps around. These straps have the buckle but they cannot be joined together as a small hand strap. Better get the original.. |

Same experience here. The Optech strap is a real workhorse. No probs with the buckle. Had a 20D+grip+2 batts+580EX+stroboframe Press-T+70-200 F2.8 L IS hanging on the strap for many hours while moving around/standing during my last assignment. Heaviest thing I've had hang from that strap would be my 20D+grip+2 batts+580ex+Sigma 50-500+attached monopod (obviously i only did this for a while since it's really heavy to have this hang from your neck).

Get Matin neck straps. I have Optech but prefer Matin. You can purchase Matin neck straps from:
