I believe in traditional film photography for the moment, but need to have those photos digitized. Commercial labs charge me an arm and a leg for high quality scans of medium format and I can't afford to buy a good scanner myself. I want to scan 120 format slides at a least 2000dpi and 24bit colour.
If you have a good high quality film/slide scanner that can take medium format, such as the Nikon LS8000 or Minolta Multi PRO, I would like to rent it from you for a weekend or so. Please tell me what would be a fair price to pay? Or , if you have the scanner but do not trust me to operate it, why not offer your scanning service to me? If I find it reasonable, I may give you the job. Please either respond to this post or PM me. Thanks. |

Hi,
May I know where in Singapore sells scanners for 35mm film? I would like to take a look at them. Thank you. |

I think Cathay Photo at Peninsula is a good place to start. Why don't you buy one that can scan 120 format and I'll rent it from you on a regular basis. That way you can subsidise you purchase, while it is still under warranty.

I only use 35mm negatives/slides, so there isn't any need for me to go for 120mm. Thank you for your suggestion.
