Just a few samples from this past week. These were taken with an IR converted camera shot in black and white and then tinted.
Stickball is simliar to baseball played on the streets. ![]() Bench and Stair- Just a hint of IR on the palm tree on the left. A simple still life with some nice textures. ![]() Balboa Park Aboritum- a more traditional IR theme. I sometimes think the sky is too dark but what do you think? A composite of five images shot in portrait orientation to create a wider angle shot than my camera could do on its own. ![]()

I like the tones rendition for "Balboa Park Aboritum". The sky is tad dark but seems suitable for this traditional building setting.Prefer a tad more contrast. Did you do stitching of 5 images?

Thank you for the nice comments. I already got tired of the blue- red color swap and like the black and white tinted look better for now. This way the subject and composition become more important than the effect. I apreciate that there are many new people here just experimenting with infrared for the first time and that is great. I want to explore some of its other possiblities as well. Having a converted camera helps a lot too since I don't have to fuss with filters and long exposures which lets me use it in more situations. I have been playing around with it for about four months now. There are no rules for IR- find what you like and keep experimenting with different things.
The panorama was indeed five frames stitched with Photoshop CS3.
