'Floating elements' isn't even a marketing sales term, in my opinion. It refers to (usually) a group of individual glass within the lens barrel which moves individually as you turn the focusing ring.

Bah, I may have explianed it all wrong. Go google for it.
That's it?! Woah, ok. Fancy name for what appears to be taken for granted in a typical lens design huh.

    Default Equipment List

Hi, this is my first post here. The Pentax related equipment I have are handed down from my father. They are

    - Pentax ME
    - Pentax MX (sticky mirror)
    - Ricoh XR-7
    - Kiron 2x converter
    - Sigma K/A 16mm f/2.8 Fisheye
    - Pentax K 18mm f/3.5
    - Kiron 28mm f/2
    - Pentax M 35mm f/2.8
    - Pentax M 50mm f/1.7
    - Pentax K 150mm f/4
    - Tokina 200mm f/3.5
    - Tamron 500mm f/8 mirror
    - Kiron 28-70mm f/3.5-4.5
    - Kiron 70-150mm f/4

The following was bought in 2001 after the Ricoh XR-7 could not focus accurately and to have AF.

    - Pentax Z-1
    - Tamron 28-200mm XR f/3.8-5.6

    Default K1000

    Hi All,

Doing some spring cleaning in the house and discovered that I still have my K1000, still in good condition but I guess the lens and body needs some minor clean-up. Any recommendations on the place I can go and the price of cleaning it up?

    Many thanks!
