something about the sensor grip + eye start feature i found is there seem to be a delay...
after u grip with ur hand and let it strap around your neck, the eye start still works for like 3 secs or so... and still hunts abit like wat happened in A100.... not sure if u can disable the delay thing |

Are you are saying, the eye start AF still work for 3 seconds after the grip is released ? If yes, then it's weird, maybe can ask SONY Support about this.

I've tested it, and can confirm. For about 2-3 seconds the eye-start AF will still work after you release the grip. |

probably by design, in case you take your right hand off the grip momentarily. instead of speculating, why not ask sony?

Any A-700 user interested to test their camera on a Minolta 7.5mm f4 FE and a 600mm f4? I want to know how good the camera can handle those 2 lenses. Maybe also the 85mm f1.4 G.
PM me and will do some test later next month as I am still in Sydney. Regards, Hart |

I've tested it on a 85mm 1.4 G (and the CZ version too!). In both cases the A700 worked brilliantly. |
