Default What I miss about the A100...

...is the shutter sound. I know I'm in the far, far minority here and that from a fps/performance point of view they really had to change the shutter...

But I kinda liked that satisfying "clack" that reminded me of my old film days.

Actually I prefer the shutter sound of KM series. It really sounds like that of a film SLR.

Ah, the good old days.

Yeah, there's something very "real and substantial" about a nice shutter slap...

But I'm already reaching the "you gotta pry the A700 out of my cold dead hands" phase. :P

Side-by-side, the A700 screen kills the (already excellent) A100 screen...

The shutter sound of the A100 is really nice.

It is a solid audible feedback that I've taken a shot - and for TFCDs, the model would know that you've shot him/her.

I've got these moments like: When I took a photo - the camera went clack... it's loud and mechanical, and my friends went: "Wahhh Pro!"

I think they said that probably because, it's a departure from fake sounding, emulated shutter sounds of digital PnS cameras.

It's kinda like comparing a muscle car to a quiet sedan. It's got the real grunt to it yeah...

Exactly!

Ok, it's probably bad for theatre performances or wildlife... But other than that, it has that reassuring feedback.

A-100, SONY got complaint about shutter noisy...SONY fix it, now complaint...where is the shutter sound....next SONY will put a MENU to allow user to customize shutter sound. Maybe can load in MP3 as well and get play every time the shutter is pressed.
