Is anyone going to test this lens on the A700?

If price a concern, it's a good alternative to the Minolta 80-200 f2.8 HS and KM/SONY 70-200 f2.8 SSM. Overall the Minolta is still better in terms of color, sharpness and bokeh. The Sigma AF speed is good, comparable to the Minolta HS.

Guru, if u not into speed, suggest u reused yr 75-300mm lens again one of these day....for a kit tele lens that came with a circular blade...i found that it is nearly as good at not so high the price...
remember money is precious, so must plan yr budget properly. *ps..or u make a killing in the stock market recently ![]()

have the IF APO one.
nice........................... i love it. it's focusing on 7D already considered fast. so on the A700......... haha..... but one flaw would be it's pretty unclose minimum focusing distance. it is not a great drawback, but sometimes when i want to take some psuedo-macro shots, it is unable to do it well. |
