Errr.... i'm assuming you mean the MTBF rating of the A700 shutter? I'm guessing 300,000 like nikon's.

New High Speed shutter Carbon fibre shutter offering 1/8000 sec top speed and 1/250th sec x-sync (1/200th if SteadyShot is on). Sony is quoting a 100,000 shutter cycle life. what happen if shuttle reach 100k? return for service? |

I think 7D shutter was rated at 100k too? mine has passed 120k but still going. So it really says 100k is the minimum then anything from there is a bonus? If shutter fails, then change one lor.. I think by then there is a new DSLR again.
