Default New Compact Zoom

Minolta´s new compact Zoom 60: the combination of practicality and affordability

Langenhagen, April 28th, 2003 - The new Minolta Zoom 60 combines high-quality optics with fully automatic functions making photography entirely effortless. Complete with a built-in 35mm to 60mm power zoom, the Minolta Zoom 60s 1.7X zoom range provides the flexibility to capture images of people, places, and moments.

Attractively affordable, the Minolta Zoom 60 includes many automatic features that simplify the art of photography. Autofocus and autoexposure give the camera ease of point-and-shoot functionality, while automatic film loading, advance, and rewind make film handling easy. As added benefits, the film can also be rewound mid-roll and the camera automatically sets the film speed to ISO 100 or 400. The camera is available in two versions, one outfitted with an easy-to-see LCD data panel complete with battery saving auto-power-off functionality and a display showing the camera status.

For higher quality images and self-portraits, the Minolta Zoom 60 offers four flash modes and a self-timer. Autoflash automatically fires in low light while red-eye reduction employs an LED to minimize unsightly red-eye in flash portraits. An especially helpful setting in bright situations, fill flash reduces harsh shadows caused by strong direct lighting. For the ultimate flexibility, flash cancel inhibits the flash allowing camera use in flash-prohibited situations or to preserve delicate natural lighting. For self-portraits, the self-timer delays the release of the shutter for ten seconds, enabling a quick escape from the camera to the perfect pose.

The Minolta Zoom 60 is as attractive as it is practical. The exterior bright metallic finish and the sculpted crescent grip create a sophisticated appearance. The smooth contours and compact design allows the Zoom 60 to be conveniently slipped into any pocket or bag.
