The most interesting part should be this statement: the diff btw. G and CZ.

Hayashi: Looking at lenses alone, we offer two lines—G lenses and Zeiss lenses, with an emphasis on original Sony models. These meet the needs of photographers in shooting situations of all kinds. Try large-aperture G lenses for gentle, ethereal, or soft-focus shots. If you want crisp images, try Zeiss lenses, which are great for correcting aberration. Sharp down to the details, and high-contrast.

As for the orange ring stuff, its pretty, but more for marketing.

"Those of us on the design team actually went out with professional photographers into snow storms to test the buttons ourselves. That's design based on firsthand experience."

I'm impressed. Though even tha A100 handled perfectly on top of a mountain in the freezing cold with thick gloves on...

"We start by letting usability guide us in deciding the best shape, and then we arrange the internal parts to match it. That's our basic design philosophy"

I think they're right... But again, you can't please everybody. But for every persoan I've seen so far that says "the grip and layout are not comfortable" there are 20 more who say the opposite.

Pretty can help a lot in sales, actually... I heard a guy in a sony gallery say "This ring damn nice man, looks good"

"The rings are symbolic and convey a message: when the pair of rings come together, that's when it all begins"

Geez man, whoever wrote some of this stuff had a Phd in marketing BS...

"For this, we chose the color of a mineral called cinnabar. This color has always existed, in the earth, so using it for the mount reflects our wish that α will keep projecting its presence in digital SLR photography for generations to come"

Translation: We thought it looked nice.
