I see i can help.
![]() 1) Scaning any slide really depend on your scanner, but bigger the film there more information for the scanner to collect. 2) one roll of neg is about S$3.00 and prints is about S$0.60 for 4R 3) of course you need a computer, alot of HD space, alot of time and a good scanner. I will recommend the epson V700 is a very good flatbed scanner with good film scan capabilities. You do not a film holder as it come with it. Hope they are useful ![]() Last edited by singscott; 6th October 2007 at 11:16 PM. |

645 not really a lot bigger than 35mm.
medium format scanning is expensive. 60Mb scan is $30. better to get yor own scanner. |

I will second Singscots suggestion of the V700 - good scanner, but will take sometime to understand how to tweak the settings to get the best results.... |

For medium format you don't really an Epson V-700 scanner, although I use the Epson myself (mainly for 35mm film scanning) I did use a microtek 6100 which handles medium format and larger films very well, so much so that the difference between a scan done on the Microtek compared to a Flextight was minimal! The microtek was a SGD 250 (in HK) flatbed scanner with filmscanning capabilities.......

Nope it depends on the cam you buy. They all use 120/220 film (depending on the film holder).
Eg Mamiya 645 system is a 6x4.5 exposure size. Mamiya RB67 is a 6x7 exposure size (and i dont have one so i dont know if you can choose the smaller 6x6 or 6x45 with that cam) Google is your friend .. there is a LOT of information available on the various MF camera models (and if you have money, digital backs) |
