Alternatives for Repair on F828?
Hi guys, need your advice here....
Just sent my F828 for repairs - everytime i zoom beyond a certain pt, the pic taken is distorted and exposure all wrong but if i do not zoom or zoom minimally to only abt 2 or 3 times, picture is fine... Tech at sony told me its a lens assembly prob... will cost me near 500 in total to repair...  Really love my 828 but the high costs is kinda putting me off... Do u happen to meet with this prob b4? or is there some place else that i might fix it at a cheaper price..

only sony can repair... cos most other shops only repair SLRs and manual cameras... if it comes to electronic parts, its 1 to 1 replacement, no need to waste time figure out which part is damaged.

DCA, thanks for the advice..
 since there's no alternatives to it, think i'll just forget abt it.. its simply too ex for a cam more than 2 yrs old and without warranty.. just find it a shame to de-commissioned it cos it's been such a good cam
