    1. When we view pics from folder, i can't scroll forward or backward like Windows unless I select everything and drag into the preview application. is there any easier way.
    2. In windows, u can select a range of files using the shift key but in Mac, there is no such function.
    3. During the preview of photos, i dun seem to be able to delete the file directly unless i drag it from drawer to the dustbin. The delete key does not work.

    Dear forumers, any tips?
bcos my dear, it is not as intuitive as what the mac lovers tell u.
so are a lot more things.

Only to reinforce your dislike of the Mac OS/community so you'll continue to use the OS you deserve

This thread is meat for helping a fellow Mac user solve the problem, not start a fight or prove one OS is better than the other. I suggest the mud slinging stops here.

    Thank you.

That happens when you write it MAC (Media Access Control--networking) instead of Mac.

I think this thread has no further use already.
    Question has been answered.

I apologise for crossing the line. It was meant to be a little tongue in cheek but I guess it didn't come across that way.

OK back to the topic. Perhaps you could try Permissions Repair under the Disk Utilities before trying what the others have suggested.

As for defining new shortcuts, that is a feature that Windows does not have - does this apply to every application/program and every menu item? Is it set inside each program on its own or in a MAC-wide Control Panel or something?

I'm not very familiar with the MAC interface - thanks
    Hi Vince,

Actually this is really up to the (windows) application developer to add the "shortcut" to the menu item ... otherwise the only way is the arrow keys. Eg if the menu item doesnt have an underlined letter the arrow keys are the only way (or the mouse :P)

Yeap you are right, but in Windows, I have yet to encounter a function which I need something fast (ie something used more often) but does not have the underlined letter.

all applications designed for mac are standardise meaning learning some shortcut keys can be use in almost any applications. This is one thing steve is very particular about. By pressing cmd and s it will automatically save project but i prefer the menu method instead of shortcut keys more faster. Mac menu are set such that it is faster and easier to assess and see as compare to pc. wait till you see leopard it totally much better than what tiger offers and is a full 64bit os system using zfs unix new file structure support more partition as tiger.
