Hi guys, may I know which of the above camera (D2h or D200) performs better at high ISO, like ISO 800 and above, as I am contemplating on whether to change to D200, as my current D2h seems to give dissapointing result at high ISO.
Pls do not advise me to buy the new D300 as I do not have $$$ to do so. If I were to buy the D200, I will do it only after the launch of D300, where the price of D200 will drop. Your opinions are very much appreciated. Thanks |

Look, if your looking for decent ISO performance above ISO 800 then neither of these cameras are for you. Seriously waiting and saving is your best option. From my knowledge the D2H has extremely poor noise control however the smaller image size is in its favour, if you rescale a d200 shot to 4MP im sure it will look way better! all in all, the D200 should be better.

May I know how come the Noise control of D2h is lousy when it has a large photosite per pixel.

I always thot that D2h is better than d200 interm of noise control but I have never tested anything beyound iso400 for both.

D200 hvae better noise control over D2h in higher ISO.
If you dont need the fast FPS, Fuji S5 pro actually out performance both in term of colour, DR & noise control. |

Then shouldn't have much of problem, when u have proper exposure.
My last big print was done last yr 20"x30" with D200 iso1000, after intensive post processing(NR and sharpening). final output is good for me. ![]() Last edited by jnet6; 3rd October 2007 at 09:11 PM. |

I believe maybe due to the low pixel.
