    Default Harvey Normal Exchange Policy

    Hi guys,

    Have any of you changed/returned an item to Harvey Norman? I bought a Philips DVD/DivX player last weekend and it's horrible, barely plays DVD (original discs) beyond 5minutes before video and auto starts lagging.

    Take it back and ask for an exchange unit ! (a new one).

    If they don't want to, get in touch with Philips and let them know.

    But don't leave it too long before doing anything

    Hello folks, the unit isn't defective per se, it's just a lousy unit. I don't know what I was thinking as my experiences with Philips DVD and TVs have been aweful, couldn't believe I got another one (coz it was cheap). I'm willing to top-up for a better unit if need be, I just don't want the same brand. I'll give it a try tomorrow. Thanks.

    Just an update, I went there and they just let me get another brand, no hassles... Except...

    For the stupid sales guy who wasn't even assisting my case, he kept on blabbering how it's a rare case Philips products gets returned blah blah blah, he's defending Philips left and right and saying Pioneer/LG isn't as good etc... I asked him "Did you buy the unit? If not, it's not your call..."

    He left. hehe
