Welcome to CS and congratulations on getting a superb SLR - the Minolta SRT. Not sure which model you got but here is a guide for you: http://www.rokkorfiles.com/SRT%20Series.htm

Maybe you can google for more links & info on this fantastic SLR.

This is a manual SLR. What do you want to know?

This may be useful for you bro.

I read somewhere that the SRT Super is actually the same as the SRT-101 just that the Super has a hotshoe for external flash.

The camera is pretty self-explanatory and operates like most other mechanical SLRs. It should be compatible with almost all pre-autofocus Minolta SLR lenses and all features work with MC or MD lenses. M42 lenses work via an adapter. The build quality is very good. It may be difficult to get a suitable mercury battery (mercury batteries are outlawed in many jurisdictions for environmental reasons).

Is the shutter working (you don't need a film to check this, just open the back cover and watch)? Did you load the film properly (how long did it take to rewind)?
