Just got back from my ex colleague's Solemnisation today. Tried this shot today but has mixed feelings with the way the hands are positioned. I welcome any form of feedback. Note that my subject focus is on the wedding bands.

Somehow i feel something is lacking in this photo, perhaps its the way the hands are positioned with e couple's face behind.. looks like an unnatural position..

I had the same feelings also but instead of thinking I rather try out this shot and see what's the result and see how I can improve on it. Thanks for your feedback

Was trying out with available lighting. Seems like doesn't really work agree with you on the background building that's bright and distracting. Will definately try harder

Bro, what I can suggest is you lock your exposure on the bride. Then you won't need any fill-in if you want to use natural lighting. You may need to watch your shutter speed and ISO, however.

I always doubt on how to take photos of the ring and also with the couple.
today i managed to learn from your sharing this creative shot.

however, we can still enhance the angle and facial.
for example, the hands can be on the left side and then face on 2/3 of the format.
then the grip of the hands will be groom hand grip softly from the rear....

let me try and share to hehe..
