I am using a Kodak Printer Dock Series 3. It costed me $80 only. As I am using a Kodak prosumer digicam (P880), it can dock on top of the printer. The Kodak camera LCD is doubled up as the printer menu screen.
But the printer can be hooked up to any PicBridge enabled digicam. I tried a Canon Xus 65. It works just as fine. The photo prints are one-sized 6"x4" only. But I like the Kodak brilliant colour on water-resistant paper. Last time when Harxxx Norxxx was doing a promotion, I brought 3 packs of 40 Kodak papers for $50. Each pack comes with the colour cartridges. Hence no additional cost besides the paper cost. |

I'm using a Samsung Photo printer. Prints A6 or 4" x 6" photo. Technology used is thermal transfer, similar to Dyesub. Instant dry. Best part, photo print cost only ard $0.35ea and it prints at ~40sec/print.
Supports pictbridge. I hook my mac in the studio for those urgent fast jobs. Purchase price @$179 with pack of consumables 120sheets free. ![]() There is also another higher end model with a LCD screen and memory card slots, ie, no need a PC to print. But cost a $100 more. ![]()

I'm intending to get one but dunno how to choose. Have been looking at canon selphy models but saw in one of the post that complains canon prints are overexposed and with off colour problems. If so, any other brands worth to consider? Any suggestions?
My parents have been complaining I took pictures but never prints them. But will it be cost effective when compared with sending it to shops? I mean putting the cartridge and paper cost into consideration. |

I prefer lab prints as well they look better and feel better and cheaper. Portable printers are good when u need prints on quickly such as like shoot now, give prints later.

Need some advice here. CP recommends Epson Canon came up top in the poll. I am getting one to print up to A3 size, recommendation and comments most appreciated. The recommended models was Epson 2400. Please also advise on calibration software. TQ.
