Thread: Manual mode, but slow flash reaction

Default Manual mode, but slow flash reaction

    Hi

Got a D70s and the flash works fine when in auto mode. However in manual mode, when I use the flash there is about a 1 second delay after I press the shutter. Not sure why. I suspect something to do with "shutter speed" setting on the menu options. Can't quite understand the way it works from the manual.

Any insights whether shutter speed is the problem? Or whether its something else?

you might turn on the rear sync or redeye function,
pop out the built in flash, you will see whether have a "eye" or "rear" icon on your top LCD panel.
