$149 at Sony showrooms. I don't know if you might be able to get them cheaper elsewhere.

Which model did you buy? Shures and Westone are known for their strong midrange. Can't be no mids one. Their 'lows' and 'highs' are their driver config. And where did u buy from? Maybe can ask for exchange.

Canew, MX550 is miles away from such earphones.

Yes, I know that. That was why I commented that the price of the earphones mentioned here are expensive. Once again, you get what you paid for.

    i bought the se310.

yesterday i just bought the se420 and it sounds sooo much better.

now i'll just get the bose headphones for the sound isolation.
it can double up as a muffler for my niece when i bring my niece out and if she wants to sleep.

guys, i bought the sennheiser HD25-1 II.

i tried the sony MDR 7506.it's really really very very clear.was really impressed.
but sound isolation wise, definitely the senn will beat the sony.
you will immediately notice the diff when you put it on.

the senn also has a stronger bass.
    price is $360.

now i have jacky cheung singing for me personally after my lunch.
    sweeeeeeeeeeeeet!

You're fast becoming an audiophile too. Next step, Sennheiser HD 280 Pro

Edit: Oops, might as well go all the way and say HD 650s

HD 280s are actually cheaper than the HD 25s but have huge ear cups that cover the whole ear properly, so isolation is good...thats if you don't mind looking like a dork or a DJ

Currently(still in production that is) the highest end ones are the HD 650s, they are more meant for home use or recording usage as they need plenty of power to sound their best. Open style headphones, they sound very 'airy' with great clarity, however not for noisy places.

I do use such types of headphones on public transport at times, and got lots of funny looks from commuters

i just got further poison from my colleague from another floor.

he saw me with the headphones, and he told me i can actually buy another headphone amplifier the size of my ipod, to boost the signal strength for even better sound quality.

    any recommendations?

I could point you to this ...

after which, you'll start nit picking.

And your adventure on getting the "desired" interconnect starts!

HD650 is open type and I don't think will meet her demands for isolation.. no?
