Try to upload at around 800pixels width, it should get you a big enough size photo in

Can't really see the details because the pics are too small.
Look out for background distractions, #5 is good in this respect.

Take a close look at your shots. Did you realise something about where your focus really was?

I did not mention anything about handshake or blurness. What I asked was - "Where was your focus point"

That in turn brings you to the next question - "Do you know what to look for?"

Followed by - "Why were you using AF/centre focus?"

From your earlier, smaller thumbnails, those flaws were already obvious. However, if you find my comments too hard to stomach, feel free to ignore.

Actually you can use flash to fill in your shots.Experiment with flash and you would be surprised that you do not need to bring along your tripod whenever you go shooting macro. But of course there are those who insist to shoot with available light.

For macros, the important point to get the focus right is the eyes. Everything can be sharp, but if the eyes are OOF, than no point....unless the purpose of the shot is meant to show some other part.

I notice your apeture is very large (i.e. small F number), which means shallower DOF. For Macros, DOF is impt so go for larger F number. You will lose light, so either compensate by flash or longer shutter speed.....which will require tripod.

To maximise DOF, go parallel to your subject so that the eye, body, all stay within the DOF and thus appear sharp.

Use MF, fix the focus and move camera in and out to get the focus on the eyes...i.e. appear sharp on your viewfinder before taking the shot.
