I've shot 2 rolls of slides and sent it to a photo shop to develop. i told them to process it normally like negatives, and not as slide film. they said okay. However, both times, only half the roll is printable. And worse, they turn out as black and white.
Am i doing something wrong? Any help for this newbie is much appreciated! Last edited by fluke; 25th September 2007 at 04:42 PM. |

I would suggest Grace DigiLab at sunset way, Kim Tian at Hong Lim Complex, Triple D at Burlington. |

I concur with that.... Go to pro labs to do such stuff. Most labs in Singapore only handle digital or normal 35mm now. Most of time when I ask the staff about 120mm etc.... they give me a blank clueless look........... sigh

I shot on a 35mm so I thot it would not matter since xpro is just processing normally? The lab I used is photo finish. I know the pro lab does a better job but I cannot afford the time to make 2 trips just for 1 printing.

i am not sure theoretically they just put the slides into the negative processing machine and when it come out, they just scan probably the scanning part that gone wrong? when u say some of them are black and white... on ur xPro slides.. do u see black and white or shades of color? it should be purple or greenish or even bluish... alternatively .. u can try tripleD at burlington square.. if uncle mike is not bz.. he can rush ur job within 1 hour.. *the only lab that i know will 1 hour rush for u* u just drop ur film.. then go to sim lim and walk around.. |

[quote] Yeah, i was hoping to see some shades of color, but the prints are all totally black and white. no shades of color at all. the only color is on the index print - the photo finish logo. On the Xpro slides, I do detect a hint of purple and green. not entirely sure though. Does it mean that the lab got the cross processing correct but printed out in black and white instead? |
