I'll travel with 17-40 - PR on the body.
A few portraits and low light shots with 50f1.4.
70-200 to shoot the crowd, or for beachfront resorts

Always take my 17-40 and 70-200 for travel. Unless I wanna do portraits, i will leave my 50mm behind.

I will bring along a normal zoom lens with a telephoto plus a 35mm f2.

i use to bring the 24mm and a 50mm, trying to save up for a 24-70mm f2.8 from sigma, a smaller outfit for travel in the future alongside a 400D or a lecia M6 with 35mm would be fantastic!

From a glance I would think over there at NIKON CAMP are more participative (gauge from no. of voters)...

Thanks bro. At least now I know how come I couldn't participate in polls. But wonder at what postings should I chalk up before I becomes normal user which enable me to vote.

I normally take 3 lenses, depending on anticipated situation.

1 WA zoom, 1 Tele zoom and 1 fast lens.

I'm the kiasu sort so I'll bring quite a lot of stuff. At least 2 lenses, WA and tele zoom maybe a fast prime. Spend $$$ to travel if end up have those situations where you wanna take a pic and dun have the right gear is damn irritating.. Hur hur.

When to Bali recently.....

Bring along -

Sigma - 10-20mm
18-125mm

Canon - 75-300mm
60mm Macro

Sort of regard not bringing my Tamron 17-35mm f2.8.......

brought only my 24-105 f4L IS in a recent trip to KL and Genting.. regretted not getting an ultra-wide lens before the trip though.

24-105mm for me when i went to Japan. The 24mm is wide enough for me for the buildings and 105mm is good for me to shoot along the streets and inside shops.
