I'm still deciding on the K10D or the K100D. I am leaning on the K100D because of the cheap price(300-400 SGD is still a lot) price and because it is easier to bring around. I have researched for and found out the the K100D has some voltage problems:
http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...7&changemode=1 Is the battery problem easily solved by eneloops and a good charger(maybe a Maha charger)? How many shots do you get from your batteries? It would be much of a hassle if the camera shuts down once in a while because of batteries like one of the posts in the forum in the link that i posted. |

huh?
you will have to bring spare batteries no matter what camera you use if you're worried about that; i myself bring 2 or 3 extra sets along with whatever is in my camera.. all the time when i go photoshooting so far so good, no problems, but i agree with the point raised by dirty battery contacts, mine get dirty very fast, so i have to clean them regularly, suppose it'd affect power |

Use Eneloops or Energizer Lithiums batteries should help get more shots as NiMH batteries lose charge quicker. Was using NiMH batteries on my DS and switch to Eneloops and Energizer Lithiums. So far so good. I got about 800+ shots with my DS with 1 set of energizer lithiums batteries before and i think not surprise if there are people with 1000+ shots.

A set of eneloop can last me for about 2-3 days.
Roughly 100-300 shots without any problem. ![]() Like NightMare had mentioned it is always good to have a set of batteries for backup. K100D its a gd camera to start with ![]()

Don't think its a serious issue. Since I bought my K100D 1 year ago, I've encountered only 1 occasion where the camera registers full charge and suddenly drop to batt low. All I did was take the batteries out, re-insert them and they were good to go. And they continued to be used for a long time after that.
One word of caution, Sanyo batteries (the 2500mAH) tend not to last long, even the replaced ones. I full charged a couple of GP 1600mAH batteries and some 2500mAH on the same day. 2 weeks later, the Sanyo batts were completely dead whereas there was still enough juice in the GP to power my 4" portable LCD TV... |

I am using Energizer Rechargable and am happy with its performance on my K100D. Went to a 4 day trip to hanoi and never had to change to my spare. my batteries drain fast only when using Bulb.
