Hi, has anyone tried the Tokina 50-135mm f2.8 lens? Any idea on its price and does anybody got a sample photo using this lens. I just thought that it might be a good portraiture lens considering the focal length range and the 2.8 opening. Thanks!

Take a look here:
http://www.photozone.de/8Reviews/len...5_28/index.htm Highly recommended, it seems. I believe Cathay Photo is the principal representative for Tokina lenses. |

Yes yes! I do hope some CSers here can give a good real-life rundown of the lens...Me already using the Tok's 12-24 and 100mm, both I must add have served me brilliantly thus far. Hoping to add the 50-135 too.....anyone?

No offence, but I don't think the people here appreciate multiple postings on the same subject. Have faith that someone will reply in your original posting ya?

k the tokina 50-135 is a good lens
1) Sharp 2) Slightly bluer in color (as with most tokinas) 3) Mechanical driven for Nikon so u won't have AFS or HSM motor problems 4) Build like a tank 5) Nice bokeh (at least to me) 6) It's lighter then the 70-200 if u want to use it for portraitures Cheers
