Default Mac user need help for Canon Printers

Anyone MAC Pro here uses Canon inkjet printers to print their photos? I need advice.

When I print photos from my imac using iphoto 08 to the Canon MP600R the photo quality is very poor compare to the same printed from a Windows computer?

Any idea why?

Is there a color profile, color sync ?

Thanks

Hmmm , i using an iMac with iphoto'08 also on my Canon Ip4200 .. Dont have this kinda problem ley . But if i not wrong you can try using the Canon software to print instead . If not you can try to re-install the printer again cause i remember that when i installed the printer there was some kinda colour profile thing that pop out to ask you to set also .

I have an MP600 connected to my PowerBook G4 and it prints reasonably well for a printer without photo cyan and photo magenta inks but there is a bias toward yellow. I haven't used it with a Windows machine to see how it prints.

Have you tried printing from the included Arcsoft photo software or put images onto a memory card and tried to print them directly without the computer to compare? You might also try the Preview application.

Since iPhoto '08 is new and has only had a quick patch, I wouldn't be too trusting, unless other software produces a similar result.

I had 2 different results when i print wireless from a MAC and Windows.

Windows prove to be better than MAC. Pictures are less dark and more accurate to that of display.

I quite like iphoto08 but the prints out from my Canon printer is giving me a problem with mine work flow.

I use Canon pro paper.

Is there some profile or colorsync i have to callibrate to get a better results?

I preview the pictures before printing but results from print are dark and not detail.

I try reinstalling the drivers, no profile configuration.

Thanks for all the advice. i am VERY new to MAC.

I don't have iPhoto '08 but it will probably be updated again in about 3 weeks and will likely be fine then.
