Default Something like a LCA?

I'm wondering, what can compare to an LCA in terms of quality and portability without it being so ex?

I've read some threads in the forum but i'm still kind of confused. Haha.

So all the masters of alternative photography PLEASE advise!

wat do u mean 'quality'? and wat exactly do u have in mind regarding the images out of a LCA?

we've examples of CSers who got cheap 35mm fixed focus cams from cash converters and producing great, IMHO, LCA-like pics.

hmmm. to be honest i'm not too sure about what i mean by quality too. haha. paiseh.

i like the holga effect (and i've got one) but IMO its not very friendly to the pocket leh. haha.

i guess i'm looking for a lca kind of camera for its way of shooting - the portability of it and its ability to fit into any pocket. i've got my dad's old slr and my own dslr, both lovely to shoot with but definitely too bulky to carry everywhere i go. so yah. thats what i want an lca-like cam for.

thanks nightwolf.

PS pardon my noobness.

well, u can try hunting down for an old vivitar fixed focus cam. some of us have them. quite stylo, the images coming out from it.

there's another pricey version of the LCA - the minox 35. very pricey but hardier than the LCA.

I have an Olympus XA too, colours are somewhat similar to a lomo, but definitely sharper - which may be good or bad depending on how u see it.

actually minox35 could be cheap depending on the model..
obviously not the titanium one lar

i think the pricey version of the LCA would be the original mothership

yup, theres no reason why it wouldn't work..
anyway, if you wanna go into b&w a good film to start is Kodak BW400CN, can develop at any neighbourhood lab..

any of the camera that fit 35mm
will be able to take in B&W

so.. shouldnt be a problem for u

but the mainpoint for those camera.. are funky colors and vignetting of colors and sometimes blurness

so if u use B&W .. abit off.. but can try

i was wondering, do any of you guys use range finders to shoot 'alternatively'?
i know this its kind of wrong to post here lah. haha.

anyway, with regards to the thread title, would a range finder be considered a compact cam (LCA)?
