I intend to get a D80. And I am going to HK and Japan next month. Which country is cheap to buy?

Agree with you. Get lens or flash in HK is cheaper by abt $100. Just got mine SB 800 for $2500HK so is abt $500 sing $

If you're not particular about warranty, HK is definitely cheaper than Singapore for A LOT of camera stuff. No tax to begin with. Obviously if you can haggle in Cantonese or have a local accompanying you, prices can be a little better. Japan can be cheaper for some stuff and the bigger shops are usually well stocked. I think it all boils down to whether warranty is a big issue. For me I'll take an upfront saving...

actually Lowepro bags are mor expensive in Hong Kong. I did a comparison and found it quite expensive. It is cheaper in Singapore even if you include the 7% GST.
But I believe the DOMKE bags are cheaper in HK.

Anyone knows which area or shop in HK r selling cheaper camera eq than sg?
Did anyone try taiwan or china? i heard china also quite cheap but nt sure of its quality.
